Remembering Dr. Victor Gragg

Sometimes fate brings someone into your life. After a while, you cannot imagine how your life would be had fate not brought that person in your life. I think many people in the library community lost just such a person on December 13, when past Library Board President Dr. Victor Gragg passed away.

RFID and Interlibrary Loan

We have now completed our conversion to RFID for all our locations. As I am sure many have found, RFID allows for the checkout and check-in process to move faster and allows our staff to have more meaningful interactions with the customers and community. But did you know that your interlibrary loan (ILL) items are also able to be checked out and in through the RFID checkout stations?

My Coffee Story

People who know me, know I like coffee. Actually, it is a funny story how my coffee habit started. I was studying in England. Every place I went, I requested tea (because I did not like coffee) but my British hosts always gave me coffee. They told me that they understood that Americans all drink coffee and I must be asking for tea to be polite. So, as I tell the story, the British made me a coffee drinker.
